Planning a Lovable Cloud to Supabase move
Define why you want to move, what your app depends on, and what an assessment needs to answer.
Start with the reason to move
Write down the specific outcome you want: more direct access to your backend, a different operating workflow, or ownership of destination accounts. A migration should solve an actual problem. Keeping your current setup may be reasonable if it already meets your needs.
Describe the app before sharing access
For an initial conversation, a plain-language description is enough. Do not send database passwords, API keys, exports, or customer records.
- What does the app do, and who uses it?
- Is it a prototype or does it have active users?
- Which sign-in methods, files, payments, email, and webhooks does it rely on?
- What would make a migration worthwhile, and when would you want it?
Separate assessment from commitment
Before agreeing to work, establish what can be exported, what needs rebuilding, what access is necessary, and what is excluded. A proposal should identify uncertainties rather than assume every feature is portable.
Define what success means
Agree on checks for records, permissions, sign-in, files, and important user journeys. Discuss switching, recovery, and handover. A completed copy alone does not establish that the application works.
This is a planning aid, not a verified export procedure for a particular app. Access, portability, and final scope need assessment.
